For Rent Media Solutions Selects New Regional Manager to Oversee Texas Markets

Leading business in multi-housing industry welcomes Carol Marple to senior management team

NORFOLK, Va.-(February 11, 2009)-For Rent Media Solutions, a leading apartment resource for searching apartments nationwide, and a division of Dominion Enterprises, is proud to announce the addition of Carol Marple as Texas regional manager.

Marple, a 20 year multi-housing industry veteran, began her career as an on-site assistant manager for Harry Reed Management. While at Reed, she transitioned into marketing and took on the position of director of marketing and training.  Marple was also instrumental in the development and implementation of Greystar University, a program developed after Greystar Real Estate Partners acquired Harry Reed Management in 1993.  Marple’s most recent position was as a national account manager for the Home Depot Supply, where she assisted with the company’s business to business operations.

Marple is dedicated to the multi-housing industry and has shown this through her active participation in industry organizations, apartment associations and training. In 1997 and 2000, Marple was named the Houston Apartment Association (HAA) Marketing Director of the Year and currently serves as a member of their board of directors. She was also recognized as National Account Manager of the Year for Home Depot Supply in 2002 and 2004. Marple is an active member of the National Apartment Association’s (NAA) National Suppliers Council and served on the NAA Education Conference committee. In addition, she is a recent graduate of the NAA Leadership Lyceum and the NAAEI Advanced Instructor Training.

Former General Sales Manager promoted to District Manager of the company’s Texas Region.

In 2003, Corrine joined For Rent as a Sales Manager; she brought with her over 13 years of experience in the multi-family housing industry.  She quickly moved up to the position of General Sales Manager, where she used her management skills to consistently lead the Detroit For Rent Magazine^® office, while overseeing the Toledo market as well. Prior to joining For Rent, she was a very successful publisher of a Detroit apartment publication.

“I am honored to be chosen for this new role,” says Beauregard. “As the district manager, I plan on using my management skills acquired during my previous roles to leave a strong impact on the Texas region.”

Beauregard transitioned into her new role on November 13^th and has relocated to the Dallas area.

10^th Annual For Rent Challenge Cup Offers Major Support to NAA Political Action Committee

Norfolk, VA-(May 2, 2006)- Spring is here, bringing with it the perfect weather to “tee off”. This year marks the 10^th annual celebration of the For Rent Challenge Cup, a golf tournament that raised $160,000 for the National Apartment Association’s Political Awareness Committee.

On April 27 and 28, 16 golfers from Houston teamed up against 16 golfers from Dallas to raise money for the NAA’s Political Awareness Committee (PAC). The Dallas Apartment Association hosted this year’s tournament, which was held at the White Bluff Resort on Lake Whitney.  For Rent Magazine^® is the title sponsor of the For Rent Challenge Cup; which is the major fundraising contributor for PAC. The tournament brings in $16,000 every year raised through player registration. Each player is required to donate $500.

In 1996, Dwaine Capodice, Vice President of Sales for For Rent Magazine^® in Dallas, Kirk Tate, CPM, Principal of Orion Real Estate and John Cullens, President of ApartmentCareers.com developed the fundraiser that has generated $144,000 in the past nine years and brought another $16,000 this April, bringing the total to $160,000. This year’s champions were the Dallas team, which lead Houston 10 ^½ to 5 ^½. Except for a little rain on Friday, the tournament was a success. Each year, either the Houston or Dallas Apartment Association hosts the event. Last year’s tournament, hosted by the Houston Apartment Association, was held at the Walden on Lake Conroe.

“NAA is grateful each year to For Rent for its continuing sponsorship of the For Rent Challenge Cup,” says Doug Culkin, the NAA PAC Treasurer.  “It is clearly the strongest ongoing fundraiser to benefit the NAA PAC.  The competition between Dallas and Houston has sparked other regional challenges throughout the country - but none have raised as much for such an extended time as the For Rent Challenge Cup.”

“Kirk Tate, John Cullens and I started the challenge cup over ten years ago at an apartment association meeting in Corpus Cristi Texas,” says Dwaine. “As usual For Rent stepped up to the plate and supported this idea as it has and always will do for the industry we believe in.”
