Meisenheimer eager to reinforce integrated marketing in multifamily housing industry

New vice president of sales added to For Rent Media Solutions executive team

NORFOLK, Va.-(Jan. 20, 2010)-Ann Meisenheimer, former regional manager for For Rent Media Solutions, a leading apartment resource for searching apartments nationwide, and a division of Dominion Enterprises, has been promoted to vice president of sales. Meisenheimer will transition into the role this February.

“This is an exciting time for For Rent Media Solutions, as the multifamily housing industry fully embraces an integrated marketing solution,” says Meisenheimer. ”I am honored to join our senior management team, as we continue to set the pace for product innovation, quantifiable marketing communications, and a synchronized media platform for our consumers.”

Meisenheimer joined For Rent Media Solutions in 1997 as a general sales manager, and played an integral part in the launch of the Chicago For Rent Magazine. Under her guidance, Chicago has grown to become one of the company’s top markets. She was promoted to Mid-West North regional manager, her most recent position, in 2007. As regional manager, Meisenheimer used her industry insight, product knowledge and passion for the business to make tremendous progress in this region.

Meisenheimer is filling the role that will be left vacant as a result of Sarah Malone’s retirement. In this new role, Meisenheimer will oversee all sales, training and operations for the company’s Northwest, Southwest, and Southern California regions. She will also oversee sales and operations for the After 55^TM Housing and Resource Guide division.

ForRent.com embraces virtual communication through new Layar mobile application
Apartment seekers can search thousands of ForRent.com apartment listings through the world’s first augmented reality browser

NORFOLK, Va.-(Dec. 1, 2009) -ForRent.com, anchor Web site of For Rent Media Solutions^TM, a division of Dominion Enterprises, has launched an augmented reality Layar mobile application. The application lets apartment seekers view their current location through the camera of their iPhone^® 3G S or Google Android mobile phone with a “layer” that shows them all the available apartments on ForRent.com within a 10-mile radius.

As a free mobile application, available from the iTunes Store or from Android Markets, Layar shows users their surroundings by displaying real-time digital information on top of reality through the camera of their cell phone. Once the apartment seeker selects the property of their choice, phone and email contact information appears at the bottom of the screen. Through the Layar application, they can also access the ForRent.com mobile site for even more property information.

While an additional 31 percent use text messaging. The Layar application has been well received worldwide. To find ForRent.com listings through Layar, apartment seekers must download the Layar application. Next, they search for the term “apartments” or “ForRent.com” to find the ForRent.com mobile application icon. From there, they simply point their phone in any direction and all available apartments on ForRent.com within a 10-mile radius will appear on the screen as colored pins.

Viva La Vie Boheme in your apartment and win tickets to RENT: The Broadway Tour

ForRent.com and RENT: The Broadway Tour launch the “Viva La Vie Boheme” Facebook photo contest

NORFOLK, Va.-(Nov. 19, 2009)-ForRent.com, a division of Dominion Enterprises, and RENT: The Broadway Tour, celebrate the apartment living lifestyle with the “Viva La Vie Boheme,” Facebook photo contest. “Viva La Vie Boheme,” is the cry of Bohemians in the musical RENT meaning “Long Live Bohemia.” The contest asks apartment seekers to submit photos showing how they live “la vie boheme” in their apartments.

ForRent.com and RENT: The Broadway Tour will fly the winner and a friend to Sacramento, Calif., to attend the final performance of RENT: The Broadway Tour in February. Three finalists will each receive memorabilia from the show.

To participate, contestants must become a fan of the ForRent.com Facebook fan page and upload pictures of their free-spirited, apartment living lifestyle. In Facebook, visitors will be allowed to vote on their favorite photo through the “like” feature. The five photos with the most “likes” will be submitted to the cast of RENT who will pick the winner.

The contest consists of three phases:

o        Phase II: Voting,  Dec. 16 - Jan. 4, 2010

Industry leader brings multi-housing’s first Twitter educational session to annual marketing conference

ForRent.com listings are now live on PadMapper.com. PadMapper.com is a web application that makes it easy to browse through and pick out apartment and house rental listings. Listings are pulled up on a Google map.

How Do You Find Our Listings?

You have two search options.

The “Hop Somewhere” box:

• Do a quick search by typing in the city where the property is located or the property’s address in the box next to “Hop Somewhere.”
• On the next page you will find apartment listings for the the city or location of your choice. Each red marker represents a listing.
• You have the option to zoom in or out for a better view.

Filter Listings:

• For more search options, expand the box by clicking on the + sign to the right of “Filter Listings.”
• From there, end-users can cater search criteria through a variety of options, including source. This is where you will find ForRent.com, in addition to Craigslist and Apartments.com.
• The sites filters search criteria in real time, bringing the end-user to apartments quicker.
• End-users have the option to subscribe to their filtered search option through the grey box that says “Subscribe to this View/Filter Search.”

To search for a new location, simply type the city or address in the box next to “Hop Somewhere.”

ForRent.com Expands Reach Through New Oodle/AOL Partnership

Through our partnership with Oodle.com, the official classified content provider for AOL, ForRent.com listings are now being fed to RentedSpaces.com. RentedSpaces.com is AOL’s new rental/apartments classified portal that offers apartment seekers a variety of lifestyle tips and advice. This site is now gaining traction and has become Oodle’s top referring partner as well as one of the top referring domains for ForRent.com. Renters can also reach the site through the new “Apartments” tab in the directory on the left hand side of the AOL.com Home page.

How Do You Find Our Listings?

You have two search options.

Search box on the Home page:

• From the Home page, the end-user should locate the blue box in the middle of the page and type a city, state or zip code in the designated area. Then, click on “Search”.
• This brings the end-user to their search results, where they can filter their search options.
• To find ForRent.com listings, type ForRent.com in the keyword box at the bottom of the “Refine Search” column.

Rentals tab on the Home page:

• From the Home page, the end-user can click the “Rentals” tab located in the dark gray box in the site’s header.
• The end-user can then click on the state of their choice on the map or locate it in the “Browse Rentals By State” blue box.
• They can then choose one of three options to locate their desired city.
• The next page brings the end-user to their search results.

Online video reaches major milestone and continues to gain popularity in the multi-housing industry

NORFOLK, Va.-(September 21, 2009)- A record 81 percent of U.S. Internet users watched online video in July 2009, according to an August 2009 study from comScore Media Metrix, a leader in digital measurement.
